The Tour
The bay tour on Santa Cruz Island is a half-day experience that can be done either in the morning or afternoon. The tour covers several iconic sites and offers the chance to observe species like blue-footed boobies, sea lions, reef sharks, sea turtles, and coastal birds.
ITINERARY
The tour begins at Academia Bay, the starting point to explore the southern coast of Santa Cruz.
The route takes you to the Love Channel, a narrow passage surrounded by rocky formations and calm waters.
Next is the Shark Channel, where reef sharks can be spotted from the surface.
The tour continues to Playa de los Perros, home to marine iguanas and Sally Lightfoot crabs.
The journey continues to Franklin Bay, a peaceful spot ideal for birdwatching and sea lion sightings.
Finally, you arrive at Las Grietas, an impressive saltwater channel perfect for swimming and snorkeling.
