Bartolomé, one of the youngest islands in the archipelago, is located near the coast of Santiago and is named after Sir Bartholomew James Sullivan, a friend of Charles Darwin. Covering 1.3 km² with an altitude of 115 meters, it boasts breathtaking landscapes. On our day trip, you’ll hike to the summit of an extinct volcano via a 395-step wooden trail, encountering recent volcanic formations, endemic flora like the lava cactus, and a stunning panoramic view of the iconic Pinnacle Rock, a striking tuff cone.
